"Believe you can and you're halfway there."
The day happened to one of pure beauty. The flowers had all began to bloom, and the tree’s has began to brighten to a beautiful shade of green. The summer was turning out to be one of pure grace, and with that grace...People began to go outside more and more. The sun was up from morning till dusk, and not a cloud seemed to block the brilliant rays of the sun. This was the type of weather that Blake appreciated the very most. Every once in a while the children of Oblitus would get lucky and a soft breeze would rustle through the grass and various weeds, this breeze felt good against their skin. This was natural form of air conditioning seeing as such thing didn’t exist in a society that wasn’t completely developed just yet.
Running her fingers through the various wheat that reached up to her finger tips, Blake took it upon herself to appreciate the day. The sun beamed down upon her hair as she began to venture the various fields. This was a common place for her ever since she originally came here. Seeing as it was the closest thing to home here. How much Blake longed to be back down South where it seemed every day was a day in paradise. The horses and cowboys roamed, along with rodeo’s almost anywhere you turned. It was a beauty to say the least, and something Blake longed for. But one of her goals was to bring rodeo’s to Oblitus, so she planned that often while in the fields. And even, every once in a while she would get some horse visitors while in the field. Today happened to be one of those lucky days. Looking across the field, Blake smiled softly as a dark brown figure came into view.
Its legs were long and the light reflected casually off its skin. The horses name was Peanut. Kind of a ridiculous to name for a horse, but he had gained the name from the first time Blake had met him. The biggest reason that Blake had grown attached him was the first day she came to oblitus, she had been relaxing in the fields around from the rather large groups, and had been eating peanuts. The horse had come into the fields because he spelt the peanuts and wished for Blake to share, from that point on they had been allies. Most would find her having a horse here in Oblitus ridiculous, but in some ways, it was a sense of security for Blake.
Taking her time, Blake made her way across the field to where peanut was located. Pulling some grains of corn and random peanuts from her jean pocket, Blake offered him some. He gratefully accepted and then lowered his head slightly, allowing her to pet him and brush any spare straw from his hair. It was a strange relationship she had, and she only wished that she could show such an alliance with the other many orphans of Oblitus…but for now, that just wasn’t in the cards.
After petting peanut for a bit, Blake walked over to an area of land that had been pulled of various weeds and high wheat strands. There were many logs and pieces of wood that had been shaped as a fence would be shaped stacked up. This was where Blake had began to set up her goal of a rodeo. It all seemed to beautiful in her mind…but it was going to be a lot harder than just thinking about it. Picking up the various wood pieces and separating them into piles, Blake smiled at the idea of what the final product would eventually be.
